The Volkswagen Golf has an established fan based that stretches several decades around the globe. Here, at our XPEL shop in Austin, TX, we treated this showroom fresh 2022 Golf R with window tint and PPF. The hatchback’s side and rear windows, and windshield, received our UV protective PRIME XR PLUS film. In 2022, Volkswagen brought back the R to the Golf’s lineup. It’s turbocharged four-cylinder engine produces 315-hp and 310 lb.-ft of torque. The go-to transmission is the six-speed manual. However, buyers also had the option of a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. The new Golf R puts its power down using its 4Motion all-wheel-drive system.
