How do I decide what paint protection option to get?

Of course having your entire vehicle covered in paint protection film will provide you with the most protection, but if you don't think you need full car coverage consider where you drive and what you come in contact with that threatens to damage your vehicle's paint.

How long will paint protection film last?

XPEL Clear Bra Paint Protection Film can last years. Our film is covered by a 10 year warranty, but as long as you take proper care of your film, it will continue to perform year after year.

Is STEALTH or ULTIMATE PLUS better for my car's original paint?

All of the clear car bra films installed by XPEL Austin protect your vehicle without damaging your car's paint.

Will installing window tint on my car windows cause interference with my phone or radio?

No. All of our car window tint was developed to not interfere with any reception, including you cell phone and radio.

What kind of warranty do I get when having XPEL Auto Tint put on my car windows?

XPEL Window Tint has a lifetime transferable warranty. XPEL's warranty covers against peeling, cracking, bubbling, fading of the film.

What is the benefit of choosing ceramic window tint vs metalized auto tint?

Ceramic window tint is more optically clear than metalized auto window tinting, providing a clearer, safer view the windows.

How long will FUSION PLUS^TM Ceramic Coating last?

FUSION PLUS^TM is backed by a 4-year warranty. To maintain your ceramic coating, we recommend that you use our Ceramic Boost Spray which protects your coating and enhance shine and performance.

What is 9H hardness when referencing ceramic coating?

9H hardness is a rating based on the Pencil Hardness Test, commonly used by manufacturers of clear and pigmented surface coatings. The Pencil Hardness test is used to determine the scratch resistance of a coating surface

Will ceramic coating make my matte paint finish, glossy?

You can apply FUSION PLUS^TM to the STEALTH^TM film. It will not make the surface glossy, it will enhance the depth of the matte finish.

Can I have residential window tint installed on my sliding glass patio door?

Yes. Our VISION^TM Line is for any flat glass. You can have window film installed on your skylight, patio door and windows.

Do any of the decorative window films block out light?

XPEL's decorative window films come in 3 different options. Blackout Window Tint and Whiteout Window Film- both of these block light. If you want light to still come through, you can chose to have our frosted white film installed.

How does window film decrease my home/office energy consumption?

VISION^TM Window Film provides UV Protection and Infrared rejection which helps keep rooms cooler. With cooler rooms, you will not need to run your AC as much.
